Rebuilt engine warranty:

Our rebuilt engines are warranted for 12 months (1 Year), unlimited mileage. Our warranty covers parts only, we do not cover labor or shipping under ANY circumstances. Warranty is not applicable to any engine used for racing or competition purposes.

Here is the bottom line:

Our engines are built to better than factory specifications, they are built better than any other you can buy, we build them with parts that are TESTED and PROVEN not to fail. We’ve built the best, it’s up to YOU to do the installation (and the external parts you install onto it to match) properly. WE DO NOT WANT YOU TO HAVE A PROBLEM. We also know that there are many things beyond our control that may cause issues. We want to stay friends and make you happy about the engine you installed. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS (ANY!), CALL US. We’d rather help you with advice about your installation before there is an issue.

 

The warranty does not cover these issues (but not limited to):

Overheating for any reason

Failure due to lean or rich fuel conditions (carburetion issues, fuel injection system issues, exhaust or catalytic convertor problems)

Failure due to improper timing or tuning (advanced or retarded)

Lack of lubrication (for any reason)

Improper break in procedures

 

We control the quality of the parts, our machining and assembly process for our rebuilt long block assembly. We do not have any control of the used external parts that you install onto the rebuilt engine we ship to you. We pride ourselves on building the BEST 22RE/22R engine you can buy and we expect you (or your shop) to use common sense when installing your rebuilt long block. We expect the issue that caused your old engine to fail in the first place to be resolved before installing the rebuilt long block. There are TOO MANY things that can cause an engine to fail and a just as many procedures/inspections of the parts you are re-using during the install process that can be skipped that may cause issues. We REALLY recommend checking out our install recommendations and tips page for some of the more common items that may cause difficulties after the rebuilt engine is installed.

 

 

Cylinder head / camshaft warranty:

Stock and performance cylinder heads are warranted for 12 months (1 year), unlimited mileage. The warranty covers parts only and does not cover labor or shipping under ANY circumstances. Warranty is void if used for any type of competition use.

 

Our cylinder heads are built to our exacting specifications and are built to last. It is your responsibility to make sure your parts you install onto the cylinder head and the proper installation procedures are followed. We do not want to deny a warranty claim for something that you (or your shop) may have overlooked during the preparation of the lower end of the engine or during the installation. Parts (installation parts and externals) warranty:

All external and installations parts we sell are warranted for 12 month (1 year), unlimited mileage. We do not cover labor or freight under any circumstances.  

 

 

We do not like problems. You don’t want problems. We do the research on every part we choose to build your engine and perform every machining process to the closest tolerances possible. Every engine is built as if it was going into our own vehicle. We are proud of the engines we sell since they are THE BEST available (we are modest, too).  We work closely with a local 22RE/22R engine specialist installer to make the right choices for the installation parts we sell. If you have any type of problem or issue with your engine or installation, STOP and call us. The support for our engines does not stop when the engine is shipped. We have the knowledge and experience about installing and tuning the engines we sell. We want you to call us with the questions you have. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A DUMB QUESTION. The only dumb questions are the ones you DO NOT ask. Don’t be afraid to call and ask, we are always willing to help.

You are responsible for the freight / shipping charges to return your core engine or parts back to us. Exceptions CAN be made for this policy. Call us to talk about the details.

 

ENGINES:

*rebuildable/remachinable block (we will give only partial credit for blocks that have already been bored to .040” (1MM) oversize since that is already PAST the normal service limit)

*machinable crankshaft and connecting rods (full credit will not be given for “spun” rod bearings that have damaged crankshaft or connecting rods)

*oil pan and oil pick up tube (you cannot substitute a 4 wheel drive oil pan pick up tube for a 2 wheel drive oil pan and pick up tube).

*Valve cover

*Machinable camshaft

 

Depending on your distance/shipping location, it may not be cost effective for you to ship your complete engine core back to us. We are always willing to “buy” certain parts of your core engine. PLEASE CALL US, WE ARE WILLING.

EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS. A PARTIAL (OR FULL)  REFUND MAY BE GIVEN DEPENDING ON THE NECESSARY PARTS YOU CAN SEND BACK, PLEASE CALL US ABOUT THE DETAILS.

CAMSHAFTS:

EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULES BELOW WILL BE MADE ON CASE BY CASE BASIS, CALL US WITH THE DETAILS.

Camshaft must be in machinable condition (no ridges or excess wear on lobe surfaces due to excessive wear or lack of lubrication and bearing to head surfaces must not have grooves)

 

 

 

ROCKER ARMS:

EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULES BELOW WILL BE MADE ON CASE BY CASE BASIS, CALL US WITH THE DETAILS.

Rocker arm to cam faces must be machinable (no deep divots or deep grooves in the faces).

 

 

CARBURETORS:

*carburetor cores MUST be returned within 14 days. WE CANNOT refund your core depost after 14 days*

Carb must be returned to us with all external parts intact and assembled (the same as we send you). Wiring harness must be intact and wires in place (not cut or modified)

 Carbs that have disassembled / or missing parts will not receive full credit. If your carb does not meet this criteria, call and let us know before hand, arrangements can be made.

A core deposit is a necessary evil when it comes to our business. We’d rather sell you the parts out-right, but for some of the items, we will require your items back to remanufacture/rebuild etc. These are the parts that are not available (or too expensive) as new OEM. We only ask for the crucial items back since they are rebuildable or can be re-machined back to factory (or better) specs.

This is how we keep our quality higher than anyone else and our prices competitive. We will not use off-brand parts for a “cheaper” product. You do not want that.

Our core policy is NOT written in stone, please let us know if you have a different situation. We are more than willing to work with you.

Our warranty policy is NOT written in stone. If you are having issues with an engine we sell you, it is not the end of the line for our service. If you have ANY SORT OF PROBLEM, CALL US FIRST!!!

We’d rather have you call us to help with an issue BEFORE it becomes a problem.

Of course we cannot warranty issues than arise from things that are out of our control, but we also want to help make your 22R engine work right. before BAD things happen call us, we can help you make it right.
